| ■Procedure for dissolution of housing contract |

| People who rent a house need to announce the dissolution of the housing contract to the owner/landlord, 1 to 2 months before moving. The details of this procedure are indicated in the contract. |

| There are many movers, so we recommend that you get estimates by several movers. |
|
| ■Waste disposal |
|
|
| If you have a large amount of garbage when you move, collection by city hall will be charged. To request collection, please contact the person in charge. With bulky garbage, follow the procedure determined by each municipality, and put your garbage out at the assigned place on the assigned day. Televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines can not be collected. If you do not need them anymore, ask the store where you bought them or the store where you bought a replacement to take them back when purchasing a new one. |

| ■Procedure before moving |

Electricity, Gas, and Water |
|
You have to contact the Electricity and Gas companies, and your local water supply board. Give your address, name, phone number, and moving date. The client number that is indicated on the gas meter paper or receipt will be needed. If necessary, you can close an account on the day you move. |

Telephone |
|
Please contact NTT(116 (no prefix)) and give your moving date, and new address. If you close a contract with another telephone company, please contact each company. |
|
|
Postal mail |
|
If you submit a notification of change of address at the post office nearby, postal mail will be transferred for a year, within Japan only.When you go to the post office, don’t forget to bring your identity verification documents such as the Alien Registration Card or Health insurance ID card. |

|
National Health Insurance |
|
If you move outside the city, you must return your National Health Insurance Card to the administrative institution. |

|
|

Alien Registration |
|
You must submit a Change of Address at the government office of the community you are moving into within 14 days of moving. |
|
|
National Health Insurance |
|
If you move from out-of town, you must newly enlist in the national health insurance at the government office of the community you are moving into. |
|
|
Banking establishment |
|
You must submit a Change of Address. For information on the procedure, please inquiry at your banking establishment. |
