How to obtain Certificates
Student ID Card
Students are required to carry their Student ID Card at all times, as it is required when attending certain lectures, taking examinations and using university facilities (e.g. libraries), or purchasing train and bus passes. Students must immediately return their Student ID Card to the University when their ID Card becomes invalid because of graduation or withdrawal.
Certificate to PurchaseCommuterPass Students are eligible for a student commuter pass that is only valid in the commuting area certified by the University.
Application form for reissuing Student ID Card In case of losing or damaging your Student ID Card or your commuter pass certificate, please apply for its reissue immediately. The ID Card will be reissued a week after notification.
Application form for reissuing Certificate to Purchase Commuter Pass
Address change notification In case of the international student changing address or the address of your guarantee, please notify the Student Affairs Office immediately.
Guarantee change notification If the guarantee changes (or guarantee’s name), students should immediately notify the Student Affair's Section.
Student discount Tickets JR Railways offers a special 20% discount for students traveling over 101 kilometers. Students (excluding research students and auditors) can get up to 10 tickets per year, (Each is valid for 3 months). ※Students will be fined if they commit an illegal act involving their Student ID Card.
Student registration certificate Students will need to submit this certificate to request a Visa extension or to apply for a scholarship. Students must request this certificate with a clearly-stated purpose.
Academic transcript Students will need to submit this certificate to apply for a scholarship, report academic achievement, find employment, or go on to the next stage of education. It takes several days to issue a certificate, so please ask in advance.
Certificate of Graduation or Completion of Course
Overseastravel notification Students should submit this certificate when they go back to their home countries or take a trip. However, in cases when the travel will be for more than three consecutive months, students must take a leave of absence from the University.
Robbery notification In case of property loss, please report it to the police before notifying the Student Affairs Office.Also, when students find or lose things on campus, please notify the Students Affair Office.
Application for physical checkup Students will need this certificate when they are offered employment or go on to the next stage of education. This application can be obtained at the Nurse's office.

Part-time job
The main purpose of study abroad is academic learning and research, so part-time jobs must be only for supplementing academic fees or other necessary costs. Students must work within a scope which does not affect study. If you wish to have a part time job, you must apply for a permit at the immigration office. Part-time jobs in entertainment, and amusement, or adult-entertainment businesses are not permitted. To apply at the immigration office, students need the application form “Shikakugai Katsudou Kyoka Fukushin Sho” which is issued by the University. For details, please refer to Student Affairs Office.
