A career seminar for international students was held on March 23.

A career seminar for international students was held by external lecturers on March 23, 2022.

The students were able to participate both in person and online. Participants not only received information on job hunting and graduate school admission, but also practiced self-introductions in Japanese. In addition, prior to this seminar, applicants could have the opportunity for one-on-one interviews, where they could discuss anything from school to part-time jobs, life in Japan, and job hunting. Interviews were available in Japanese, English, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. We will continue holding these kind of career seminars from now on.

2 students who participated shared their experience of the event.

Zambian student
He received a lot of useful information on job hunting, graduate school applications and part time jobs. Additionally, he was given the contact details of people he could contact at any time, if he had further questions or enquiries. He seemed to find this particularly useful.

Thai student
This student similarly found the seminar very useful regarding getting information on graduate school and job hunting. What was particularly impactful for her was that she had the opportunity to consult with a Thai staff member. As her fellow country-person, the staff member had a deep understanding of her situation, and was able to give her valuable advice.
