Euro-Asia Management studies association (EAMSA) is a platform for scholarly exchange on economic and management issues. Annual conferences have been held alternately in Europe and Asia since 1984. Members are from 48 countries, so participants can broaden their networks. This year, the 38th conference was held at Keio university from 27 to 30 October. It allows researchers and business executives to discuss their research and experiences and exchange ideas. This year's theme was Sustainable Development Goals. At the conference, several sessions were held based on this theme. Students from our university's School of Economics were part of the PhD track session aimed at improving papers. One of them, Ms. Friska Adiva Maulana got the PhD award. This is a significant achievement for an undergraduate student to receive the PhD award at an international conference.

There are several reasons why they joined this conference. First, since they have research classes and thesis classes, they feel so fascinated by doing their research. Their research is based on the topic they like. Therefore their research gives them plenty of knowledge and a sense of value they want to share with people. Then, they felt academically interested in joining this conference because they wanted to broaden their research on social sciences, specifically management studies. In addition, their research unintentionally fit this year's conference topic, which is why their paper was chosen. After hearing about the acceptance announcement, they felt their hard work paid off. They were so glad to be given this opportunity to join EAMSA 2022.

My research topic is on social entrepreneurship intention. It discusses how agreeableness, conscientiousness, and gender as moderating roles in determining social entrepreneurship intention. My research focuses on higher education students in Indonesia, and I have collected about 187 data to be analyzed. However, since I'm yet to analyze it, I sent only the conceptual study without the data analysis. By going to the conference, I got a lot of advice and suggestions to strengthen my research. Especially since this is an International conference. Although many points have been marked to get revisions, it was a great way for my future studies. The constructive advice that was given by terrific scholars was also very helpful. In addition, watching so many great people present their research made me open my eyes to how to present and prepare a proper research presentation. Little did I know I was chosen as one of the awardees of the PhD. Award. Since I was still an undergraduate student, it was beyond my expectation. I was so happy and delighted to be given this opportunity. My sincere gratitude to the University of Hyogo, Professor Saddam Khalid, my parents, and whoever has supported me. This is not the end of the story, and this is only the beginning. I am very grateful, and once again, thank you so much.

Attending this conference was a valuable experience for us. Not all undergraduate students have this golden opportunity. Therefore, as much as possible, we took advantage of this opportunity to learn new things, especially listening to many speakers from companies or lecturers about sustainable business. Besides that, we also interacted with students from various universities and outside Japan. We also discussed with many great people, such as lecturers from companies. For us, as global business majors, networking is very important. We could practice communicating with people, getting a lot of information and learning from more experienced people. I had opportunities to present my paper in Phd track session. My paper was about sustainable tourism in Bali. I got lots of interesting questions and lots of constructive comments. They told me about a new theory I could use to analyze the data. I believe that this will be an amazing and valuable experience for my better papers in the future.

It was a challenging but valuable experience as an undergraduate student. In PhD track session, discussants and other researchers gave me advice on the theory I used in my research. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with professors at another university. I also learned a lot from other sessions, which gave me insights from different perspectives.

Attending an international conference during my undergraduate tenure was a unique experience so far. I, along with my other classmates, never imagined we could get this amazing chance while studying bachelor. Euro-Asia Management Studies Association (EAMSA) is a renowned organization for researchers and students studying entrepreneurship and management, focusing on creating a bridge between Europe and Asia. We are really blessed to our supervisor Prof. Saddam Khalid, for whom we got the courage to present our thesis paper at the EAMSA 38th Annual Conference Tokyo 2022. By presenting our thesis papers at the conference, we received many comments from researchers and professors worldwide. The directions and findings helped a lot to reshape our research work.
