Fall 2026 Commencement Ceremony
Under the crisp autumn sky, today, 7 undergraduate students and 9 graduate students--a total of 16 students--are embarking on a new journey into a future filled with hope.
On behalf of the university, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our graduates who, despite facing various challenges, persevered with sincerity and dedication in their academic pursuits to reach this joyous day.
Dear graduates, today is a day filled with great joy and pride--not only for you, but also for your families and everyone who has supported you along the way. As you receive your long-awaited degrees and move on to the next stage of your lives and careers, I hope you will never forget to express your gratitude to those who have encouraged you and watched over you with a warm heart.
We are honored to have with us today, as distinguished guests, the presidents of the Parents' Associations and the Alumni Associations. We are deeply grateful to them for taking the time to join us.
We are currently navigating an era marked by uncertainty and unpredictability. Rapid advances in AI and digital technologies are transforming every aspect of our lives. Conflicts and humanitarian crises are intensifying. And climate change is accelerating, bringing frequent and severe weather-related disasters.
I hope that you will deepen the comprehensive and practical knowledge cultivated at this university, hone your critical and creative thinking, and boldly adapt to major social change while demonstrating your abilities in your respective roles.
As knowledgeable professionals, please use your flexible sensibilities and rich imagination to build a more inclusive and interconnected society in which diverse cultures can coexist.
Your connection with us does not end with graduation. This university will always be your academic home, and we will continue to support you as you pursue lifelong learning in this era of "100-year lives," providing opportunities for further study and reskilling. Whenever you face difficulties, please feel free to return to your alma mater at any time.
Finally, I would like to share one last thought with you. Do not be swayed by appealing claims that are difficult to verify or lack objective evidence; instead, strive to transcend value relativism and continue to make every effort to draw closer to the truth. Please always remember that you are responsible for the words you speak and the impact they may have on others.
Believing that rich and fulfilling days await every one of you, I offer my heartfelt greetings and words of farewell as this new season begins.
Wishing you a wonderful journey ahead! Congratulations!
