Social Media Policy

This policy sets forth the operation policy for the official social media accounts managed by the Corporate Strategy Division (hereinafter referred to as the "Division"), the University of Hyogo (hereinafter referred to as the "University").
The purpose of establishing and operating social media accounts is to share information and build relationships with a wide range of audiences, including current students, faculty, staff, alumni, prospective students, and other members of the general public.


The section will operate and manage the accounts listed in the table below (hereinafter referred to as the "account").

    This account will be operated by the Division in accordance with this policy.
  2. Posting
    The Division will post information (text, photos, and videos) about the University on the account (hereinafter referred to as "Postings" for those made by the Division).
  3. Replies and comments
    In this account, the Division will not, in principle, reply to or comment on comments, etc. posted by users (hereinafter referred to as "user's comments, etc."). If you have any questions about posts or the University, please check the CONTACT page of the official University website for contact information, and direct your inquiries to the respective contact person.
  4. Followers, reposts, and likes
    This account may follow accounts related to the University.
    In addition, the account may repost or like comments made by users.
    However, this does not indicate official support from the University for the users' comments, etc.
  5. Deletion
    The University reserves the right to delete posts, terminate the operation of the account, or delete the account without prior notice.

    The Division will post videos about the University on the account.
    The Section may accept comments on the posted videos.
    However, as a rule, the Section will not reply to or comment on comments made by users.

    However, these do not represent an official endorsement by the University of the channel or video in question.
  5. Deletion of videos
    The University reserves the right to delete videos or terminate or delete the operation of the account without notice.

Compliance with the Rules for Use of Social Media

In posting information on social media, the Section will take the utmost care not to infringe upon the rights of others, including copyright, trademark, honorary right, portrait right, and privacy, and will comply with all relevant laws and regulations.


The contents of this account may not be reprinted or otherwise reproduced without the permission of the University, except for personal use, quotations, or other acts permitted under copyright law. When quoting, etc., please be sure to clearly indicate the source of the quotation in an appropriate manner.

Deletion of user comments, etc.

In principle, comments made by users will not be deleted.
However, comments made by users that fall under any of the following categories (comments or images deemed inappropriate) may be hidden, deleted, or accounts blocked without the user's consent.

  2. Content that defames or slanders a specific individual, group, etc.
  3. Content that is intended for political or religious activities
