Double Degree Master’s Program in International Business and Entrepreneurship
On May 12, 2026, the University of Hyogo, represented by President Makoto Kosaka, and the Romanian-American University, represented by Prof. Dr. Habil Costel Negricea, formally concluded the establishment of a joint academic program, the Double Degree Master’s Program in International Business and Entrepreneurship.
This represents a momentous occasion for both institutions, as the program is the first of its kind for the University of Hyogo, as well as the first double degree program organized with a Japanese institution of higher education in Romania.
The event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Takashi Katae, Ambassador of Japan to Romania, who also offered a special congratulatory dinner at his residence for members of both universities. Representatives of partner universities were present for the event: Prof. Dr. Marian Moiceanu, President of the Academic Forum of the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning, Prof. Dr. Alexandru Calin, Rector of the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning, and Prof. Dr. Otilia Cusa-Fulea, Ovidius University of Constanta.
His Excellency Mr. Ovidiu Dranga, former Ambassador of Romania to Japan, and Mr. Andrei Luca, Director for Cultural and Science Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, joined this event of high academic and intercultural importance, expressing their hopes for a continued collaboration on multiple levels between Japan and Romania.
