The Department of Economics (First Stage of the Doctoral Program) started an English Program in 2023 in order to accept more diverse international students. In the English Program, lectures are given in English for the courses listed below, and seminars are also conducted in English.
Students in the Japanese Program also take courses and seminars in the English Program. If there are any Japanese Program students, the lectures and seminars will be conducted in a bilingual setting.
The entrance examination will be conducted in English at our university. For the time being, only graduates of our Global Business Course (GBC) , School of Economics and Management are eligible. Admission is in April. Recommendation-based admission screenings take place twice a year, in July and February. Application guidelines and application forms are available upon request from the Academic Affairs Division.

The current Course Completion Guide is primarily for students in the Department of Global Business, but it also includes information on the English program of the Department of Economics. Please refer to 2.2 and 14 (Table 2 Courses List).
