Research and development of reversible fuel cells

With the aim of establishing highly efficient production, storage, and usage technologies of hydrogen energy, I conduct research and development of single-unit, dual-function reversible fuel cells that are capable of producing hydrogen from electricity produced through renewable energy and for generating electricity using hydrogen when needed.

With particular attention to ceramic fuel cells called “solid oxide fuel cells”, I am taking initiatives to improve the energy conversion efficiency by developing novel functional materials.
