Master's Program
Standard study period: 2 years Capacity for admission: 40 students Degree: Master (Applied Informatics)
The educational curriculum of the Master's Program comprises 2 groups of classes, "Common subjects" and "Course subjects". These groups of classes both provide not only lectures on basic and applied informatics, but also incorporate seminars, case studies, and/or fieldwork through internship as much as possible; by which, we strive to produce highly-practical human resources who play leading roles internationally and in each specialized field in the society, and professionals equipped with highly-advanced expertise, and researchers with highly-interdisciplinary skills.
Subjects
Common subjects (basic subject)
These subjects cover basic knowledge concerning informatics and comprise software/hardware, network, database, and other subjects essential to this particular field.
Common subjects (applied subject)
This is about application of informatics, and comprises media process, data mining, simulation technique, and other subjects that stand on the borderline between the informatics and human society.
Course subjects
This subject covers construction, operation, and management of information systems in the fields pertinent to the 2 courses.
Completion requirements for the Master's Program for both courses include earning of credits for each required class, and 30 or more credits in total upon completion. Students who meet these criteria and whose Master's thesis summarizing the outcomes of special studies is accepted are deemed successfully completed the Program.
