“Landscape New Stream Seminar Landscapes from the Perspective of Ecosystem Services” was hosted.

Confusion has continued at a global level due to factors such as global warming and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among this confusion, there are calls for handling the crisis concerning biodiversity.
Assessments of biodiversity have conventionally advocated for an approach called “ecosystem services” as an indicator, but this concept is currently not common throughout society.

From this perspective, there have been reports concerning ecosystem services, primarily from Japanese and Korean researchers.The Graduate School of Landscape Design and Management and Hyogo Prefectural Awaji Landscape Planning & Horticulture Academy co-hosted a public online seminar to discuss the relationship between landscapes and various ecosystem services on Tuesday, December 21, 2022.
